On June 4, 2026, Westrum Development Company proudly celebrated the groundbreaking of Phase II at LUXOR Wilmington, marking an exciting new chapter for Wilmington's thriving Riverfront District.
Joined by local leaders, project partners, community members, and members of the Westrum team, the ceremony commemorated the start of construction on a new six-story residential building that will bring 125 luxury apartment homes to the growing Riverfront neighborhood.
The expansion reflects Westrum's continued commitment to Wilmington and the ongoing revitalization of the Riverfront District.

Phase II will introduce a collection of thoughtfully designed studio, one-bedroom, and one-bedroom-plus-den apartment homes featuring modern finishes, spacious layouts, and the lifestyle-focused amenities residents have come to expect from the LUXOR brand.
Since opening in 2023, LUXOR Wilmington has experienced tremendous success, attracting residents who value luxury living, walkable conveniences, and access to the vibrant dining, entertainment, and recreational opportunities that make the Riverfront one of Delaware's most desirable destinations.
The addition of 125 new apartment homes will help meet the growing demand for high-quality rental housing while further enhancing the neighborhood's continued growth and vitality.
The groundbreaking ceremony served as both a celebration of what has already been accomplished and a look ahead to the future of Wilmington's waterfront community. As construction begins, excitement continues to build for what Phase II will bring to residents and the Riverfront District alike.
